As an emerging laser welding machine, it has gradually replaced the market positioning in traditional welding processes and has unique and irreplaceable processing characteristics. It has been increasingly widely used in various industries, relying on its obvious advantages and high-quality welding effects to promote rapid development in the industrial field. However, laser welding machines also have situations such as welding through during operation. The reasons for welding through are mainly caused by factors such as excessive welding current, low welding speed, or large groove gaps.
To avoid welding through, the welding current should be properly matched with the welding signal. For example, when the welding current is high, the welding speed should be appropriately increased and the installation gap of the welded part should be strictly controlled. When gas maintenance welding, it is also important to note that the gas flow should not be too large to avoid creating a cutting effect.
Under normal circumstances, flat welding is easy to achieve good weld formation. Single sided welding, double-sided forming, curved welding, straight and transverse welding, as well as welding, is difficult for laser welding machines to achieve good weld formation. Usually, corresponding measures need to be taken according to their physical condition to achieve this.
When using a laser welding machine, the appearance of incomplete fusion at the root of the welded joint is called incomplete fusion: the appearance of incomplete fusion between the weld bead and the base material or between the weld bead and the weld bead is called incomplete fusion,. Stress concentration is prone to occur at areas of incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion, leading to a decrease in the mechanical properties of the joint. The main reasons for incomplete penetration and incomplete fusion are the adhesive edge, which is caused by low welding current, high welding speed, inappropriate groove size, welding wire deviation from the weld base, or cross magnetic bias blowing. Poor sorting of welded parts and impurities prevent fusion between the edges and roots of the base material, as well as between the weld layers, which can also lead to incomplete penetration and fusion.
To avoid incomplete penetration and fusion, laser welding machines should accurately select welding parameters, groove methods, and installation space drying, and ensure that the welding direction is aligned with the weld base. Together, pay attention to the organization of both sides of the groove and between the weld bead layers, so as to fully fuse between the molten metal and the deposited metal and the base metal.
